What is hyperlipidemia?

Khris Ramdeen

Hyperlipidemia indicates an elevation of your bad cholesterol or the LDL C in your bloodstream. The problem here with hyperlipidemia is that plaques can build up on the walls of your arteries and those plaques can break off go downstream and actually block blood flow to an important organ like your heart.

That will result in a heart attack if that happens in your brain that's a stroke. I want to stress the importance of follow up with your primary physician in your preventive care regimen because again you can't feel the effects of hyperlipidemia at first potentially until it's too late when a catastrophic event occurs like a heart attack or stroke.
